NDIS Provider Portal: How to Log In and Which Portal Does What

NDIS providers log in to the NDIA's provider portals, myplace and my NDIS, with myID and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM): on ndis.gov.au, select Portal sign in, then Provider portals and Continue with Digital ID. PRODA stopped working for these portals on 10 November 2025.

You make claims in the myplace provider portal, and manage participants on the NDIA's new computer system in the my NDIS provider portal. Registration, reportable incidents, behaviour support and worker screening are done in the NDIS Commission's portals, which moved to a new NDIS Commission Portal on 12 October 2026. Need help? Call the NDIA provider line on 1300 311 675.

Which NDIS provider portal does what?

The NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) runs the NDIS and pays claims. The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission registers providers and responds to concerns about providers and workers. Their portals are separate, with separate logins.

How to log in to the NDIS provider portal with myID and RAM

Each person needs their own myID. Logging in with someone else's details isn't allowed.

  1. 1

    Set up your myID

Download the myID app and set it up with your personal email, because myID is for you, not the business. The NDIS provider portals need Standard or Strong identity strength.

  2. 2

    Link the business in RAM

The principal authority, such as the owner or a director, links the business ABN in Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM). This needs Strong identity strength, which takes an Australian passport (current, or expired less than 3 years ago).

  3. 3

    Authorise each staff member

The principal authority, or an authorisation administrator, creates an authorisation in RAM. Under agency access, find the National Disability Insurance Agency, expand its services and tick NDIS Provider Portal, or the person can't get in.

  4. 4

    Accept the authorisation

The staff member gets an email with a 6-digit code and must accept within 7 days. An expired code can be re-issued.

  5. 5

    Sign in on ndis.gov.au

Select Portal sign in, then Provider portals, then Continue with Digital ID, and log in with your myID.

  6. 6

    Choose your business and portal

If you can act for more than one business, choose the right one. Then select the myplace or my NDIS tile.

  • Sole trader? You're both the worker and the business, so you do every step yourself, including authorising your own myID in RAM.
  • First time in? Your myID email fills in your contact details, so change them to your business contacts. Only the account manager can add or change bank details, and you need them in place before you can make a payment request.

How to log in to the NDIS Commission Portal

The Commission's portals are reached from ndiscommission.gov.au, and you may see a sign-in page titled DSS Identity Manager. You use the same myID, but your RAM authorisation also needs the Commission.

  1. 1

Add the Commission to your RAM authorisation

On the Agency access screen in RAM, find NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, select View services and tick it.

  2. 2

    Go to ndiscommission.gov.au

Select Portal Login, choose the portal you need, then select Log in.

  3. 3

    Continue with Digital ID

Choose myID, enter your myID email and select Get code. Accept the request or enter the code in your myID app.

  4. 4

    Choose your business

If you can act for more than one business, choose it on the RAM ABN selection page to reach the portal entry point.

  5. 5

    Link your old PRODA account

The first time you sign in with myID after using PRODA, select Link PRODA Account to keep the roles you had.

Which Commission portal to use since 12 October 2026

  • Start anything new in the new portal: registration and re-registration, changes to your details, new reportable incidents (24-hour and 5-day reports), new behaviour support plans and all worker screening tasks.
  • Finish work started before 12 October in the existing portal. Incidents lodged before then stay there. Drafts of registration applications and behaviour support plans left there on 12 October were removed.
  • Staff with an active account in the existing portal have one in the new portal, but roles don't map one to one, so check them. Users are managed separately: add or remove someone in both portals.
  • Applying for the first time? Go to the new portal, enter your ABN and follow the next steps. See NDIS provider registration.

Can I still use PRODA?

Not for the NDIA's portals. Access to myplace and my NDIS through PRODA (Provider Digital Access) ended on 10 November 2025, and myID with RAM replaced it. PRODA still works for other government services.

The NDIS Commission's portals use myID with RAM, but if you're having trouble setting up myID you can still select Continue with PRODA, below the Continue with Digital ID button. PRODA help is on 1800 700 199. Changing from PRODA to myID and RAM

How to make a claim in the myplace provider portal

All payment requests (claims) are made in the myplace provider portal, including for participants on the new system. The exception is approved NDIS replacement supports, which my providers and plan managers claim in the my NDIS provider portal.

  • Check which system the participant's plan is in. Old system: you need an active service booking. New system: there are no service bookings, so for NDIA-managed funding be recorded as a my provider before you claim.
  • Single claims use the Payment request tile and bulk claims the Bulk payment request upload tile. For participants on the new system, single line claims aren't available: use the bulk payment request template (a CSV file).
  • Claim and payment enquiries are lodged in the my NDIS provider portal.
  • Only registered providers can claim NDIA-managed funding. Plan-managed supports are invoiced to the plan manager, and self-managed supports to the participant.

Check your prices against the NDIS price limits and use our NDIS invoice template for plan-managed and self-managed participants. The NDIA's steps: How to make a payment request.

How my providers work in the new system

Plans in the NDIA's new computer system have no service bookings. The participant records the providers they use as my providers, which tells the NDIA you can claim against their plan. It changes how fast you're paid:

Your situationWhat happens to your claim
You're recorded as the participant's my providerValid claims are usually paid within 2 to 3 business days.
You're not recorded, and the support is NDIA-managedThe NDIA texts the participant and checks with them before paying. Payment can take about 10 business days, and the claim stays open until it's paid or rejected.
You're not recorded, and the support is SDA, home and living, behaviour support, plan management, support coordination or recovery coachingThe claim is rejected automatically.
  • To get recorded, the participant adds you in their my NDIS portal or by calling the NDIA, or you send a request with Add new request in the my NDIS provider portal, which the participant accepts or declines. The portal shows whether you're recorded.
  • For plan-managed supports, only the plan manager needs to be a my provider.
  • Support coordinators and psychosocial recovery coaches accept a request for service in the my NDIS provider portal to make the relationship active. Unanswered requests expire.
  • Participants choose whether to share their plan with you, and can withdraw consent at any time.

Guide to getting paid as a my provider

Can unregistered providers use the NDIS provider portals?

TaskUnregistered provider?
Claim NDIA-managed funding in myplaceNo. Participants can't use unregistered providers for NDIA-managed supports.
Get paid for plan-managed or self-managed supportsYes. Invoice the plan manager or the participant, with a valid ABN or a statement by a supplier form. SDA, supported independent living and specialist behaviour support must come from a registered provider even if the participant self-manages.
Use the my NDIS provider portal as a support coordinator or recovery coachYes, once you've set up myID and RAM and the NDIA has created an unregistered provider record for you.
Check workers in the NDIS Worker Screening DatabaseYes, in the Commission's unregistered providers portal, after applying for access through its Applications Portal.
Lodge reportable incidentsNo. Since 12 October 2026, only registered providers can submit new reportable incidents, in the new NDIS Commission Portal.
Apply for registrationYes. It's the only thing unregistered providers can do in the new NDIS Commission Portal.

New unregistered support coordinator or recovery coach? Once myID and RAM are set up, email provider.support@ndis.gov.au to ask for an unregistered provider record. You can't get in until the confirmation email arrives, and the ABN in RAM must match that record.

Workers apply for their screening check through their state or territory screening unit, not these portals. See how the NDIS Worker Screening Check works.

NDIS provider portal not working? Common problems and fixes

ProblemWhat to do
Login 1 error, or identity strength too lowThe NDIS provider portals need a myID at Standard or Strong strength. Upgrade it in the myID app, then try again.
Login 2 error, or the business ABN isn't authorisedThe principal authority links their myID to the correct ABN in RAM, then sends you an authorisation that includes the NDIS Provider Portal service.
You chose the wrong businessLog out, sign in again and choose the correct ABN.
Your authorisation code has expiredCodes must be accepted within 7 days. Ask your principal authority or authorisation administrator to re-issue it.
401 Unauthorized on a Commission portal after you've just been authorisedThis happens if you tried to log in before your authorisation existed. Clear your browsing history, then log in again.
Newly registered and can't get into myplace or my NDISCheck your Commission registration is complete. If it is, ask the Commission to re-trigger the approval, then wait 24 hours.
