| How a request works | One request goes to providers who serve your suburb and offer that support. Up to three can accept, and each one contacts you. | One enquiry notifies a shortlist of matched providers. |
| What “accepted” means | The provider has confirmed they can start when you need. | The provider has chosen to receive the enquiry details. Carevo says this doesn't prove the provider replied or that care began. |

For families
Both are free, and with both you describe what you need once instead of calling provider after provider. With Help Alliance, a provider can only accept your request after confirming they can start when you need, so the providers who contact you are the ones with room. You get each provider's details by email as they accept, they contact you, and you choose. There's no obligation, and you can use both services at once.
Carevo is larger. It lists more than 35,000 providers and publishes a median of 4 minutes from an enquiry to the first provider accepting it.
For providers
Neither charges commission or a fee per request. Help Alliance publishes its price: A$299 a month including GST, with the first 14 days free and no contract. You only see requests that match your services and area, and you choose which to accept. Carevo lets providers list for free and subscribe to connect with families, with plans priced by the suburbs you cover. See how Help Alliance works for providers.
