What Is NDIS Supported Independent Living?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is one of the most significant supports available through the NDIS. It funds the paid assistance participants need to live in their own home or a shared arrangement — covering daily tasks like personal care, meal preparation, household management, and community access.
Unlike SDA (which funds the physical property), SIL funds the support workers who help you live there. As a registered NDIS SIL provider in Perth, Help Alliance delivers consistent, skilled support across the City of Joondalup, City of Stirling, and City of Wanneroo.
What Our SIL Support Includes
Personal Care & Daily Living
Assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks — supporting participants to maintain a comfortable, dignified home life.
Community Access & Social Participation
Support to engage in community activities, social events, appointments, and recreational programs — because independence means more than just living at home.
Skill Building & Independence
Working alongside participants to develop cooking, budgeting, and household skills — with the goal of reducing support needs over time and increasing genuine independence.
